While four- and six-rotor mounted machines were the bread and butter for tedder makers, there is increasing demand for bigger units with 10, 12 and 16 rotors. Even though the likes of Claas, Kverneland and Vicon have mounted machines that stretch out to around 11.0m, anything bigger demands a trailed chassis, and this is the route that Pöttinger has taken with its HIT T range.
