Spread-a-bale Maxi XL HD: Simple spreading

As balers manufacturers push the boundaries on what can be bound into a bale, spreading the dense flakes into a loose, absorbent bed can become more of an issue.

Designed to better cope with these brick-like bales, Spread-a-Bale launched its high density ‘HD’ option at one of the only notable machinery events in 2020, the LAMMA show. This sees the standard rotor-drive motors replaced with higher flow units with the firm claiming a 50% increase in torque. A 300mm ‘XL’ bed option was also introduced, bringing the manufacturer’s M-range offering to six models, suiting from smaller telehandlers and loader tractors
