Bits and pieces

I think the reality of any home build for most mortals is dictated by four main factors, notwithstanding the space in which to do it and available tools.

To my mind they are money, time, skills and motivation. Each and any one of these can have a direct influence on any of the others; it’s not surprising that so many projects end up left or abandoned.

I’m not immune from this and can find myself short in one or more of the categories becoming bereft at my lack of progress, which in itself then becomes a negative emotion.
