‘I had a little tear in my eye when it went back to normal’

Radio Sport may have been silenced in the dark days of 2020, but its former presenter Nathan Rarere hasn’t. Nine months on from the station’s closure, the seasoned broadcaster is the new host of RNZ’s First Up.

And while the 48-year-old father-of-two is excited about the new role, he’s also candid about the challenges that led to the change.
