The essential drone
1 The start of a very basic drone begins with the sound source. We really like the Erica Synths black VCO 2, which sounds fantastic. We use the sine, saw and PWM outputs together, with a couple of free running LFOs from Ochd modulating the waveshape and pulse width.
2 These signals are sent to a quad VCA, with the PWM output passing through a modulated filter on the way for added animation, also controlled by an LFO. The filter is set to low pass, with the cutoff CV control
