At the check-in desk an electronic employee arrives to escort you to your room and help with your luggage. Thanks to artificial intelligence (AI), these robots are also able to answer any questions about the hotel and surrounding areas.

You’d be forgiven for thinking this is a scene straight from a sci-fi movie, but hotels using technology to reduce contact with guests are becoming increasingly popular around the world.
