As a rule of thumb, night vision or thermal add-ons tend to offer a practical use rather than providing optical quality. More often than not a compromise in terms of performance is the price you pay for the ability to turn your usual day optic into a night vision or thermal unit. With Pulsar at the cutting edge of the night shooting market, I was keen to see how well their latest version of a thermal add-on – the XG50 Krypton, supplied by Scott Country, would perform in a review, and I certainly wasn’t disappointed.
