Don’t fall into the trap of buying lots of small bitsy pieces to play it safe! Be brave and go for a large statement piece, and use this anywhere you might otherwise display a big vase of flowers; think dining table, kitchen island, mantelpiece or console. If you are displaying smaller pieces together in groups, remember the ‘law of three’, where things always look better in threes or odd numbers. Keep a variation in height to create visual interest and dialogue between the pieces.
