In a saying often attributed to Napoleon, “An army travels on its stomach.” The job of delivering food to the troops, along with providing them with ammunition and supplies, is a complex logistical undertaking. This task is commemorated at the United States Army Transportation Museum in Fort Eustis, Virginia, whose motto is “Nothing Happens Until Something Moves.” The collection of more than three-dozen road vehicles — along with aircraft, ships, and trains — highlights the various ways the Transportation Corps fulfills its mission.
