Having pictures of a comic strip star painted on your car would get you a cover slot on CC, and we could afford models called Barbi? Well, if you do, you were buying the mag in the final year of the magazine’s first decade on earth.

1979 also brought us a few other surprises, but none more so Naylor when he hit the loud Pedal at the pod in the September prior and recorded arguably the most spectacular wheelie ever seen in Top Fueller bit the asphalt, but no one could deny it went out in style.
