MANY FACES OF 13 PEAKS

The idea of running 13 Peaks Challenge came about well before lockdown. Fourteen members of the Rockjumpers Trail Running crew put it on our Post-Lockdown Bucket-List.

During lockdown with no races, no goodie-bags, no medals, the driveway became the running track for many. As lockdown eased and mountains opened up, we started our runs again, appreciating being out there on Table Mountain!

Our 13 Peaks intentions resurfaced, and we started planning logistics. The goal was a multi-day attempt over a few weekends - easy enough…

Thinking it would be easier to run in the cooler winter months, our goal was locked into place.
