Call me old-fashioned but the new fad of buying a second-hand car blind leaves me positively cold and sends shivers down my spine. While I’m notdegenerating the companies pushing in this new style of purchasing practice, which essentially involves nothing more arduous than viewing some pictures on a laptop/mobile, clicking the ‘buy now’ and hoping for the best, it goes against all I’ve been taught – and still teach – during my40-odd years of buying and selling cars.
