So much in our sector has changed over recent years and will continue to change, not just in the way we shoot but in the way we manage our land as well. I want gamekeepers to be fully included and consulted, and for them to share and educate people about the work they do. We are prime examples of working conservationists and we should be proud of it.

When it comes to conservation work and environmental land management, things that are a gamekeeper’s bread and butter, I think the new Environmental Land Management Schemes that are being developed should be embraced and used to help improve the land we manage further.

We navigated 2020 with a sense of humour, I have a great team around me. We all really came together last year, not just on our shoot at home but as a team at the NGO, which has been fantastic. It also gave us time to reflect on projects we wouldn’t normally have as much time for, including the NGO’s new series of YouTube films that had been in the pipeline for a while.
