TITLE WINNER SUTTON’S STRUGGLES TO REIN IN HIS RACER’S INSTINCT

Ash Sutton’s march to the 2020 British Touring Car Championship title wasn’t without its problems and even the driver himself admits he’d caused a few of his own.

The Laser Tools Racing man, in the all new for 2020 Infiniti Q50, only knows one way to drive, and that is flat out. In the cutthroat world of Britain’s showpiece series, that can often be a perilous tactic. Stepping off the throttle was as crucial to Sutton’s championship charge as stamping on it.

Earlier this month, Sutton spoke to the BTCC-themed Lamb & Flag podcast, hosted by DavidAddison and Matt James. Here is what he said while reflecting on the year just gone.
