This is a festive fairytale of a letter to a motorsport ‘Santa’, where in less than a year the youngster who wrote it was winning a support race at the Gunnar Nilsson Memorial meeting. The main event that day included past and future world champions James Hunt, Mario Andretti, Alan Jones and Nelson Piquet. Also on the bill was Juan Manuel Fangio, who was at that Donington Park meeting to demonstrate the awesome Mercedes W125.
