Megan Pollitt Paramedic

Megan Pollitt is an ambulance paramedic working in Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. She owns an ex-eventer, Ruby, who she credits with keeping her sane, alongside dogs Bernie and Rupert.

My job…

I’ve been working as a paramedic for just over a year, so there’s still a lot to learn. I deliver emergency and urgent care to a wide range of patients and I love the variety of the job — you never know what call you will get, and the problem could be anything from a heart attack to comforting someone who’s fallen. It’s challenging, but also very rewarding.
