ESTABLISHING CORRECT contact with your horse is a core part of effective riding. A l light, elastic and yet consistent contact makes it feel as though you are connected with each other by a mental thread as well as the physical contact. A horse who is accepting of and responsive to the contact is happier, more comfortable and in the best position to answer the athletic questions asked of him. If you’re struggling to maintain the contact, don’t fret — there are some easy exercises that can help.
