CORONAVIRUS: the aftermath

THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC has had a profound effect on many of our lives, including losing loved ones, job losses and life changes. Many of us have found solace in our horses, relishing the opportunity to spend time outside with our best friends, but even the care of our horses has been affected.

During the first lockdown, vets were only allowed to attend emergencies and some owners weren’t allowed to exercise their horses. Vet Natalie McGoldrick runs an ambulatory practice in the south-east and believes that stopping routine calls had the biggest impact.
