    THE issue of wrongful arrests by police is a cause for concern as they end up paying exorbitant amounts in compensation to those who sue them.

    While the IFP fully acknowledges that the majority of police officers are doing their best in trying circumstances, there are those whose actions at times are unlawful, questionable and an abuse of power.

    Law enforcement officers who abuse their powers by arresting people without proper and credible evidence that links suspects to cases should be dealt with.
