ON MONDAY, Prem Emmanuel Basdeo was to stand trial in the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria for the alleged killing of his wife, Dawn Basdeo. However, on Sunday afternoon, he was shot and killed in what police are investigating as an armed robbery.
Basdeo, 60, a former superintendent at Sydenham SAPS in Durban, was with his son, Jordan Basdeo, at the time of the shooting.
