Fiscal health, Covid and the way forward

2020 and the global pandemic has put healthcare and access to private medical aid in the spotlight. INCREASED RESERVES

“We are pleased that despite difficult trading conditions, a weak economic outlook, rising unemployment and healthcare service pricing above inflation, the scheme is financially solid. When we released our annual results for 2019, we reported bolstered reserves of R4.3 billion,” says Woodhouse.
