We thought we’d found it. The home of our dreams. The place where three generations of family would have the space to live together and a place that had character, beauty and style. As soon as I walked through the door and saw the curved bar downstairs, and the swimming pool and then – oh, most glorious of sights! – the sunken lounge in front of the fire, I was sold.
