TIDY TRIMMING
FURTHER to your news item about banning the removal of whiskers in international competition (3 December), I personally think it’s a bit extreme. Riders should at least be allowed to trim them.
Horses are now domesticated and don’t need whiskers as much as they do in the wild. These “sensors” won’t affect whether or not the horse knocks a pole down or if their counter-canter is correct. I think trapping those long hairs under
