Jacob Zuma, an exemplary of ANC cadre’s capturability

AS IT is argued in “Graft tarnishes ANC brand,” the ANC lost a fight against corruption towards its 52nd national conference, where Jacob Zuma defeated Thabo Mbeki for an ANC presidency. By that time, Zuma had already exhibited his state capture tendencies, namely he is capturable.

To be more precise, he had already exposed himself as, according to Adriaan Basson, an author of Zuma Exposed and Blessed by Bosasa, “a politician for sale”.

As defined by Wikipedia, state capture “is a type of systemic political corruption in which private interests significantly influence a state’s decision-making processes to their own advantage.”
