UCT dogged by the Mayosi Report

TENSION is brewing on several fronts at the University of Cape Town (UCT). It has been dogged by ongoing controversies during the troubled two-and-a-half-year tenure of embattled vice-chancellor Professor Mamokgethi Phakeng.

Concerned staff and members of the Black Academic Caucus (BAC) demand action on the Mayosi report, released on June 20, which made several recommendations, none of which have been implemented.
