Where does the Jay Marmont story begin?
When I was five, or maybe six, I was given a Yamaha PW50 (I’m 36 now) and, would you believe, I won the first race I ever entered on it? It was the Pee Wee Class at Oakdale but a win’s a win. I’d done a lot of practice at Mt Kembla but had not even ridden a club meeting. Pretty soon after that I moved up to the 65cc class on a Kawasaki, but my brother Ryan went on to win the Australian title in the 50cc
