Chad’s impact on the Australian supercross scene was not only based on his stellar performances in the US but also on his relentless sacrifice to race Down Under when he didn’t need to. Reed saw it as an opportunity to inspire young racers and give back to an industry that had supported him in his 20 years of racing professionally.
Chad didn’t need to come here to race just to put food on the table, he had plenty of that. He did it because of his dedication to the fans. He loved coming back with his family and catching up with old racing buddies and fans who had followed him from Australia to Europe and then America.
But it didn’t just start with the current Australian Supercross Championship, Chad was heavily involved with its predecessor, the Super X series promoted by Global Action Sports (GAS).
