Return of the four-strokes

The 1990s was a crazy time. Rap music was going mainstream, baggy pants were back in and war was declared in the Middle East, but not because of the pants. After the huge developments of the ’80s, the first few years of the following decade was relatively slow.

For the most part, it was more a case of refining what they had, but then the world was turned upside down in the latter half. There was still plenty of big bike news and three huge events were run right here in Australia.

The International Six-Days Enduro lit up the bush in the Hunter region of NSW when it was run in Cessnock in 1992. Later that year the prestigious Motocross des Nations came all the way to Manjimup in WA. The ISDE returned in 1998, when
