Spielberg thriller!

THERE WASN’T A single person watching the Austrian Grand Prix that didn’t feel the touch of the racing gods. And it wasn’t because of the results. Just when we thought the 2020 season couldn’t possibly take another strange turn, the armco-lined Red Bull Ring served up another upside-down race that blew the championship wide open.

Nor was it because of the winner. On any other weekend the seismic news that Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Team) had informed Ducati management he didn’t intend to continue their working relationship beyond November would be the takeaway of the event. The fact he nonchalantly rode to his first victory of the season – Ducati’s 50th in MotoGP – a day later made his personal success all the sweeter.
