HE KIMBELL ART Museum in Fort Worth, Texas, celebrates female power in ancient Egypt with a queen-themed exhibition opening on December 6—“Queen Nefertari’s Egypt.” In recent years, the Kimbell has distinguished itself with a number of important Egyptological exhibitions, including “Egypt’s Dazzling Sun: Amenhotep II and His World” (1992), “Gifts of the Nile: Ancient Egyptian Faience” (1998), “Quest for Immortality: Treasures of Ancient Egypt” (2002) and “Hatshepsut: From Queen to Pharaoh” (2006).
