Photoluminescent Powders

I was completely in the dark when it came to photoluminescent powders. That was until I was invited to the local high school to review the Design and Technology Major Works crafted by the senior graduating class. One enterprising designer created a surfboard stand to store her collection of boards on. To make the rack safe to access on the beach at night, she mixed photoluminescent powder with polyurethane and painted the dividing dowels with the mixture. The end result was that the eye-level dowels glowed in the dark!
