HIGHGROVE, ENGLAND
This new garden (just over 40 years in the making), is the private garden of HRH the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, and embodies the Prince’s long-held passion for organic growing and sustainability.
One of its finest features is the Wildflower Meadow, full of native wild flowers, including orchids and fritillaries, which support pollinators. Elsewhere there is an arboretum (with a Manchurian ash planted by the Dalai Lama), and several inspirational designs, such as the dazzling Islamic Carpet Garden, based on a Turkish rug found inside Highgrove House.
