Wonder world

Wildlife Photographer of the Year is the London Natural History Museum’s showcase for the world’s best nature photography. Entries are submitted from all over, by young and old, amateur and professional alike.

The competition has been running for 56 years, celebrating not only the creative eye of the photographers, but also highlighting the beauty of our natural world (which we so often take for granted) and the ecological challenges facing wild places everywhere.

More than 49 000 entries, and you can find out how to enter next year’s competition. Act fast, because entries close at midnight on 10 December!
