1 MAKE A MATCH

One of the most important things to consider when creating a garment with an overlay is the way in which your fabrics will behave, and whether the two layers will work together. If your main garment is constructed from stretch fabric, make sure to choose an overlay material with equal stretch to go over it – if you try to layer a non-stretch fabric over a stretchy base, the two won't sit neatly and you may even find that your garment pieces won't
