Looking at videos of my gorgeous niece, Paige, 19, strutting her stuff down the runway, I smiled. ‘You look lovely,’ I said.
‘Please will you compete in my charity pageant,’ she asked, fluttering her eyelashes.
‘Definitely not, I’m too old for that!’ I laughed.
In 2017, I was 32 and a mum to two beautiful kids, Kristen, then nine, and Ashton, then seven.
I felt far too old to be getting glammed up and posing in front of pageant judges.
‘Pleeease,’ she begged.
‘Just this once,’ I sighed.
