ANDY NOBLE

What I collect: Miniature kitchenalia – anything from copper kettles and bread boards to butchers’ blocks – mainly from the Victorian and Edwardian eras. These miniatures were originally used as samples by travelling salesmen across the UK to show retailers the design and quality of life-sized items. They would carry huge ranges in display cases and competition between regional salesmen was fierce; quality and price was everything. I started collecting around 25 years ago with a kettle costing £20; I now have over 100 in my collection.
