ROOM TO GROW

Although Clare Bolger and her husband Oliver weren’t actively looking to move, when they came across an Edwardian villa for sale that they’d always admired on local walks, they knew it had the potential to be their forever home, giving them room to grow in more ways than one.

The couple had been living in a 1970s chalet-style property, but had always longed to live in a period home. ‘We love the character of old houses,’ says Clare. ‘I grew up in an Edwardian semi in North Wales and Oliver grew up in a 16th-century cottage.’
