A big thank you!

Last weekend my husband and I retired from sailing. We covered more than 100,000 miles on our adventures and met scores of wonderful people. I’m sure that there are many readers who would join me in wanting to thank all those wonderful people who make sailing more enjoyable: the people who man the lock gates; who listen out at marinas for yachtsmen wanting a berth; the people keeping watch on traffic at busy ports; the people who have kept us safe by inventing ship-to-shore radio and GPS; the people who invented auto inflate lifejackets and clothes that keep you warm and dry; the people who put those big Admiralty charts into portfolios; the people who created roller-reefing and in-mast furling…

And all those amazing tips and ideas shared through the pages of PBO. One big Thank you!
