At first, it seemed Reynolds had some kind of superhero curse. bombed in 2004 (he played sassy vamp-killer Hannibal King), then his first stab at Deadpool went. Defection to DC didn’t help. crashed and burned in 2011, a perplexing, snot-hued CGI mess. But his return to Marvel, and Deadpool specifically — on Reynolds’ own, R-rated terms — couldn’t have been more triumphant.
