What does ‘unique’ really mean to you?
Unique can mean several things to different people in different situations. The most obvious one is the personal choices you make when creating a quilt. You may have created a feminine floral quilt that requires a delicate quilting design rather than a chunky angular design. The opposite to this would be a floral design on a quilt made for a car lover. Neither option would be the best choice.
Another thing that may be important to you can be the use of colour, again delicate blending colours versus bolder colour choices. Both quilt styles will require different quilting designs and thread colour choices.
Your fabric choices may indicate designs that come from the motifs and shapes within them. Or maybe the quilt is made from totally plain colours, and then you would need to look further into the quilt for quilting design inspiration. In this case you can often go with your favourite shapes or signature style.
