    Nvidia’s new Ampere generation of graphics cards are shaping up to be some of its most impressive yet. Built on a new architecture, the RTX 30-series graphics cards represent a massive leap in performance over the RTX 20-series through a combination of greater core counts, improved real-time ray tracing capabilities, and faster memory.

    The flagship card of the lot is the RTX 3080, a glorious chunk of silicon aimed squarely at the 4K and high refresh rate market. Though above even that you’ve got the beastly RTX 3090 – basically a Titan in all but name. While it may not be intended solely for gaming purposes, it’s difficult not to be tempted in by the possibilities, not to mention its sheer mass and prestige.
