JUNE WARREN

THE showjumping stalwart who organised the first pre-Wembley Horse of the Year Show (HOYS), died on 29 October aged 97, following a short illness.

Born in 1923, Mrs Warren married Peter and they set up home on his parents’ farm at Wing on the Bedfordshire-Buckinghamshire border. The farm was requisitioned as an airfield during the World War II but afterwards, Mrs Warren’s father-in-law bought it back and
