Moving light sources have always been a popular subject for after-dark photography, as long exposures reduce lights to colourful streaks and add energy to almost any scene.
Part of the reason why light trails are so engaging is that the effects they create are not something we see in nature. This means that whenever we incorporate a feature into an image, we have an opportunity to produce something original.
