AFFORDABLE EXOTICA

The affordable dream bike is out there, but it’s not this year’s model. If you’re a bit strapped for cash or simply want to try a different genre of machine to the one sitting in the garage, there’s an array of high-priced, exotic machines out there — but they are second-hand.

Many have surprisingly few kilometres on their clocks, most have been housed in garages and many taken care of by dealers because their owners could afford the bike, the garage and the cost of maintenance, but never had the time to ride.

These bikes can now be had for as little as one-quarter of their original price.
