Abseiling?’ Martin said, his eyebrows dancing up and down. ‘How about bungee jumping or parachuting while we’re at it?’
Carol sighed. She knew sarcasm when she heard it. ‘Where’s your spirit of adventure?’ she replied.
‘I’m 70 next week,’ he said. ‘That doesn’t mean I’m ready to retire from life.’
‘That’s what I thought,’ Carol agreed. ‘So we’ve got plenty of time for adventure.’
Martin grinned. ‘Maybe at our age, they won’t allow a bungee jump,’
