My husband Lewis, 39, has always had an optimistic outlook on life.

He is a really upbeat and positive person.

When Lewis faced a lifechanging diagnosis, he stayed true to himself.

‘There’s no point in crying and getting upset,’ he told me.

‘We’ve got this!’

Seeing my husband go from strong to the weakest he’s ever been was incredibly hard.
