Kylie had fun chatting with New Zealand pals Declan and Moana. Kylie learned that in New Zealand the seasons are opposite of ours, so while she was heading into summer her pen pals were getting ready for winter. She also learned that Ngā mihi is a cultural greeting or “thank you” in the Maori culture. Despite the many miles between them, Kylie and her pen pals seem to enjoy the same activities.
