Due to riding motos with her nationally-acclaimed brothers, Alanna Columb knew her way around two wheels from a young age. But it wasn’t until she rode her brother's old-school MTB while age 24 that she discovered a love for mountain bikes. From then she threw herself in the deep end, quickly taking on the challenge of racing downhill world cups. “I literally learnt how to ride push bikes by racing World Cups. It wasn't the norm at all, but having the moto [mindset] of ‘go big or go home, just get shit done’, I did just that.”

In her first year she was 13th at Vallnord Andorra and a 14th in Hafjell
