Eight years after their debut Stellar Variations, Hawkwind Light Orchestra have returned with their second album, Carnivorous. As on that 2012 release, this sees Dave Brock teaming up with Hawkwind bandmates – this time it’s Magnus Martin and Richard Chadwick – on a selection of songs that were recorded during lockdown. As Brock explains, the subject matter deals with the lighthearted side of the current pandemic, as well as more serious subjects.
