‘This huge 8x4.3m space was) helped with the design. We didn’t think a cream or grey kitchen would work as it’s a sunny room, so we chose cashmere. A builder fitted the units and there was a delay when the island was wrongly positioned by 1m. The project took three months and cost £6,500. I love the space. We wanted to celebrate and respect the building, and the muted design does that.’
